Hilton Club West 57th Street New York Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Hilton Club West 57th Street New York, I wasn’t expecting much from what’s technically a three-star property in this part of Manhattan. But you know what? Sometimes the star ratings don’t tell the whole story, especially when you’re dealing with a place that clearly knows its strengths.

The location is actually pretty brilliant – you’re right in the thick of Midtown, but on a quieter stretch of 57th that doesn’t get the crushing foot traffic of the main drag. I mean, you can walk to Carnegie Hall in about three minutes (I timed it), and Central Park is literally across the street. The proximity to the N, Q, R, and W trains at 57th Street-7th Avenue makes getting around New York ridiculously easy, though honestly, I found myself walking most places because everything’s so close. The neighborhood has this interesting mix – you’ve got tourists heading to all the big attractions, but also plenty of locals grabbing coffee or heading to work, which gives it more of an authentic city feel than some of the more tourist-heavy areas.

What really impressed me was how the staff handled the chaos that comes with being in such a busy part of the city. Check-in was smooth even during what I can only assume was their rush hour, and the front desk folks actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. The rooms themselves are compact – this is Manhattan, after all – but they’re thoughtfully laid out with decent storage and surprisingly good soundproofing considering you’re surrounded by the constant hum of city life. I was worried about noise, but honestly, once you close the windows, it’s pretty peaceful. The beds are comfortable enough that I slept well despite being slightly wired from all the city energy, and the bathrooms are clean and functional, though don’t expect a spa experience. One thing I appreciated was how well-maintained everything felt – nothing fancy, but no worn edges or that tired feeling you sometimes get in older city properties. The elevators are reasonably quick, which matters more than you’d think when you’re running late for a Broadway show. If you’re looking for a place that gets you right into the heart of Manhattan without the premium price tag of the luxury hotels, this spot actually delivers on what matters most – location, cleanliness, and staff who seem to genuinely want to help you figure out the city.

The staff really went out of their way to help us, my kid had a performance in the city, and the room service surprised us with wine and card for encouragement when we came back to the room! What a friendly gesture! The lobby staff and doorman were also extremely helpful and friendly! The room was clean and neat as well.

Location was brilliant. Right next to the Subway.

  • Wonderful – Strong from United States – May 13, 2025 (9/10)

Staff was beyond excellent – professional, helpful, and friendly. The front desk, doormen, and cleaning staff were all top notch! The room had a good view and were so quiet! The hotel was also in an optimal location for a lot of the typical NYC attractions – Central Park, 5th Ave, Times Square, etc. Elevators were fast with minimal waits.

What could be improved: The only flaw I could find was that there were a few signs of wear on some of the furniture, but absolutely nothing much.

  • Exceptional – Mary from Armenia – May 9, 2025 (10/10)

Everything was fine, the staff was super friendly, the location is perfect, everything is near. Special thanks to Kristina and Joe (not sure) helped us a lot

    What could be improved: Nothing
