Massive Multi-Million Dollar Home with Private Rooftop l Fashion House l Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name Massive Multi-Million Dollar Home with Private Rooftop l Fashion House l, I thought someone was having a laugh with the booking system. But you know what? After staying there, the name actually makes sense in that wonderfully chaotic New York way. This unique boutique hotel sits right on West 140th Street in the heart of Harlem, and it’s honestly one of those places that defies every hotel category you think you know.

The building itself feels more like you’re crashing at your incredibly stylish friend’s place than checking into a traditional hotel – which I mean, is exactly the point. The fashion house element isn’t just marketing speak either; there’s genuine design thought put into every corner, from the lobby that doubles as a sort of gallery space to rooms that feel like they were curated rather than just furnished. And that rooftop? It’s actually private, not one of those “private” spaces that’s packed with fifty other guests. I spent way too many evenings up there just watching Harlem buzz below, especially around sunset when the whole neighborhood sort of glows. You’re close enough to all the action on Lenox Avenue and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with constant street noise at night.

What really got me was how the place manages to feel both luxurious and completely unpretentious at the same time. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood – they pointed me toward this incredible Ethiopian spot just a few blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise, and gave me the real scoop on which subway entrance to use depending on the time of day. The rooms themselves are spacious by New York standards (and I mean actually spacious, not just “well, it’s bigger than a closet” spacious), and honestly, the whole experience feels more like an upscale Airbnb than a hotel, but with the reliability of actual daily housekeeping and someone to call if something goes wrong. It’s not for everyone – if you need a concierge desk and turndown service, this probably isn’t your speed. But if you want to feel like you’re living in Harlem rather than just visiting it, and you appreciate design that doesn’t scream “hotel chain,” then this place hits differently than anything else I’ve stayed at in the city.

  • Beautiful home made our family vacation Great! – Lgbean72 from United States – June 24, 2025 (9/10)

The communication with the host was excellent, Fast and professional. A door code was provided so no need to carry a key. Great location, grocery, food, subway all very close. Huge home, plenty of room for everyone in our party of nine. Two sets of washer and dryer on different floors was very helpful!

  • Séjour agréable hébergement bien placé et agréable. Je recommande. – Christine from France – January 2, 2025 (8/10)
