There’s this Puerto Rican place on 116th that locals line up for, and a corner bodega that makes sandwiches that put most fancy delis to shame. Plus, getting around is actually easy – the 6 train at 110th is right there, and honestly, I found myself walking to a lot of places instead of taking the subway because the neighborhood has this energy that makes you want to explore. The only minor thing I’d mention is that 3rd Avenue can get a bit busy during rush hour, but it’s not honking-horns-all-night busy, just regular city hum. If you’re looking for that sweet spot where you can feel like a temporary New Yorker without paying Midtown prices, this place nails it.

  What could be improved: Посуда, раковина и плита были грязные. Пришлось потратить время на уборку, чего совершенно не ожидаешь приезжая отдыхать.
  Район не очень приятный.
