The location is absolutely killer – I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the chaos of Times Square, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: West 44th is just far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with those massive tourist crowds every time you step outside. You can actually walk to your door without getting stuck behind a family of five taking selfies, which honestly made my entire stay so much better. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room – there’s this lived-in comfort that you just don’t get at the big chain places. The gym isn’t huge, but it’s got decent equipment and I never had to wait for anything, probably because most guests are too busy exploring New York to work out.

What really sold me on this place was how the staff (and yeah, there is actual staff, not just some random person handing you keys) knew the neighborhood inside and out. They pointed me toward this incredible hole-in-the-wall diner on 9th Avenue that I never would’ve found otherwise, and when the subway was messed up one evening, they knew exactly which bus routes would get me back fastest. The two-bedroom setup is perfect if you’re traveling with friends or family – you actually have space to spread out and not feel like you’re living on top of each other. Plus, having a real kitchen means you can grab groceries from the Whole Foods a few blocks down and save some money instead of eating every meal out. The only minor thing I’d mention is that being in Midtown, there’s definitely street noise – but honestly, if you’re coming to New York expecting complete silence, you’re probably in the wrong city anyway. I actually found it kind of energizing, all that urban buzz right outside the windows.
