I’ve stayed here during both crazy busy periods and quieter winter weeks, and the neighborhood rhythm changes completely depending on when you visit.

What I really appreciate is how they handle the practical stuff that other hotels mess up. The rooms aren’t huge – this is Manhattan, after you all – but they’re smart about storage and the beds are actually comfortable (not that weird hotel-firm thing some places do). The fitness center is small but has decent equipment, and honestly, it’s usually empty early morning if you want to squeeze in a workout before the city gets crazy. Room service comes from their little restaurant downstairs, and while it’s nothing fancy, the breakfast sandwich is surprisingly good and arrives hot. Parking is available but expensive – though honestly, that’s just New York. If you’re driving, I’d suggest finding a spot in one of the lots a few blocks south; it’ll save you some cash. The staff seems to actually know the neighborhood well, which is rarer than you’d think. They gave me solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t the usual touristy places, and when my flight got delayed, they were genuinely helpful about late check-in.
