SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York Midtown Manhattan/Park Ave Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York Midtown Manhattan/Park Ave, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place in this part of town. But you know what? This spot actually surprised me in the best way possible. The location on East 24th Street puts you right in the sweet spot between the tourist chaos and the residential quiet, and I mean that in the most flattering way possible.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to make the most of being in the Flatiron District without feeling like they’re trying too hard. You’re literally a few blocks from Madison Square Park (which, honestly, is one of New York’s most underrated green spaces), and the whole Gramercy area just has this different energy than Midtown proper. The rooms are those extended-stay style suites that actually work – I’m talking about a proper sitting area that doesn’t feel like an afterthought, and a kitchenette that’s not just for show. The breakfast situation is solid too, though I’d skip it on weekends when it gets pretty packed with families.
Here’s something most people don’t mention – the elevator situation is actually decent, which matters more than you’d think in a city where you’ll spend half your vacation waiting for lifts. The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood, and I had a front desk guy give me walking directions to Eataly that saved me from the usual tourist trap route. The building itself sits on a relatively quiet stretch, so you’re not dealing with the constant sirens and honking that plague some of the hotels closer to Herald Square. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but there’s something refreshing about a place that just gets the basics right without charging you $400 a night for the privilege. If you’re planning to actually explore the city instead of camping out in your room, this works really well as a comfortable home base that won’t eat your entire budget.
Hotel in New York booking should be done early, especially during holiday seasons when the city hosts internationally celebrated events and concerts at Madison Square Garden and other iconic venues.

Reviews of SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York Midtown Manhattan/Park Ave
Affordable without giving up space, style or cleanliness – Keith from United States – September 6, 2025 (9/10)
Efficient, clean & modem in great location. Love the space usage to fit work area, frig & a decent sized bathroom. Also breakfast, umbrella share & modest gym were nice additions
What could be improved: Elevators. Ooof. Slow to open
Also, wanted to extend stay & had to use the app, even when talking to a front desk managerVery Good – Taylor from Germany – September 5, 2025 (8/10)
Location was pretty central and safe at night to walk around it felt. The room was sufficient and this is one of the lower priced hotels around. The staff were kind and helpful in our limited interactions. Free drinks and snacks in the reception sometimes were nice.
Great place – Cindy from United States – July 12, 2025 (8/10)

Great value and the location is perfect for exploring all around the city. – Robert from United States – July 2, 2025 (9/10)
Great location, great breakfast, very friendly staff.
What could be improved: The elevators were a bit slow and could use some tuning. Nothing major, but it could hopefully be a quick fix.Excellent value for a good location. – Melissa from United States – June 25, 2025 (7/10)
Good location. Comfortable bed, but pillows were too firm for one of us. Room was clean. Shower was very good – plenty of hot water, but it did take quite a while to get hot. We stayed 2 nights – breakfast was very good the first day and not very good the second day. Our room was behind the elevators and there wasn’t really any noise.
What could be improved: Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Premade breakfast sandwiches were heavy and greasy. Hard boiled eggs seemed old. Coffee was very weak.Very Good – Geschke from United States – June 24, 2025 (8/10)
The breakfast was substantial. The internet was down when we arrived. So they had to show us to a room on the first floor and we did not have a key to our room.
What could be improved: It was smaller than we expected for a suite.Good despite a little noise – André from France – June 24, 2025 (9/10)
Room was nice and inviting and just spacious enough
What could be improved: The walls were rather thinBe nice to hotel staff. Betty White is watching. – Lisa from United States – June 23, 2025 (8/10)
The proximity to the event we were attending was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable.
What could be improved: N/AVery good for a budget choice – location is excellent. – Sandy from United Kingdom – June 22, 2025 (8/10)
Very good location for all mid town attractions. A stone’s throw from Madison square park. Nice lobby space for a small hotel.
What could be improved: Shared coffee etc in lobby was often cold or empty.
